About Me

"When you work you are a flute through whose heart
the whispering of the hours turns to music.
And what is it to work with love? It is to weave the cloth
with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your Beloved
were to wear that cloth."
-Kahlil Gibran-
Thank you visiting this site! I hope you find it informative and inspirational.
I'm from Monterey County, California, a beautiful coastal area and a mecca for a thriving holistic health community. It was here that I began my fourteen year journey as an integrative health advocate. I spent a few years in the northeast completing my education and training, and now I am planted back home, where I have founded Monterey Integrative Health.
I have been blessed to study with many powerful and inspiring teachers. I am a board certified holistic health and nutrition coach as well as massage therapist, hypnotherapist, and Reiki Master Teacher. I hold certifications in both vinyasa style and Kripalu Yoga, and offer personal training that includes Pilates and other mindfully based movement exercises.
My style of counseling and teaching is reverent yet lighthearted. My personal life and work are strongly influenced by the Eastern practices of mindfulness and meditation. I am passionate about transforming lives through supporting personal development, self awareness, and spiritual exploration. I focus on the joyful process of Life unfolding within you, rather than on performance and perfection. I apply an integrated approach that utilizes what I believe to be the best teachings from various traditions in order to cultivate an awareness and celebration of the mind-body-spirit connection.
One of my specialties is developing customized wellness workshops for groups. I am honored to be an integral part of the tribe at Om Oasis Wellness Center, which is where I offer private and group yoga, pilates, workshops, and health coaching. I am also on staff at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, Ca.
I've enjoyed volunteering my time to provide Yoga-inspired creative movement classes to people with Down syndrome and other disabilities. I am also a shameless animal lover. (The more heartbeats I’m surrounded by, the better!) I have volunteered extensively for the wildlife rehabilitation center of the M.S.P.C.A., as well as for various veterinary hospitals, offering canine massage.
In my free time I enjoy "java strolls" by the ocean with my hubby and 20 month old son, biking, yoga, writing, kirtan (devotional singing) and connecting with my loved ones.
Living my life as an offering brings me deep fulfillment and gratitude. I can’t think of anything else I’d rather be doing.
Namaste,
Kendra
