Customized Yoga & Pilates InstructionYoga and Pilates are highly recommended options during your wellness program, or can be done on their own during private sessions. The latest research shows that the regular practice of yoga and Pilates correlates strongly with achieving your ideal weight. Along with the physical benefits of strength and flexibility, you will learn to mindfully inhabit your body, breathe deeply, and reduce stress; this creates an inner environment for making healthy, sustainable changes.You do not need to be physically "flexible" to begin or practice yoga and Pilates. All you need is flexibility of mind, willingness to explore, and curiosity. What is your body trying to tell you?We take those answers, put them into action, and create results! Private and small group yoga/Pilates sessions are provided at OM Oasis Wellness Center in Monterey. I offer a Mindful Power Flow Yoga class to the community on Monday evenings at 6:30pm. There are a lot of myths and expectations about meditation that intimidate people and prevent them from trying it. There are many ways to meditate, depending on what works for you. Some enjoy sitting meditation, breathing techniques, repetition of mantras or sacred words, singing, moving meditation like walking , and other conscious movement. Bringing mindfulness and a quality of meditation to our actions, in addition to learning some simple techniques that you can weave into your lifestyle, bring immense benefits. I will help you explore and practice the approaches that resonate with you, while honoring any spiritual or religious path you choose to follow.
